Masculine Boudoir

I love that 12 years into this career, I still get “firsts”. This was my first time photographing boudoir for a straight, cisgender male. I’ve photographed 100s of boudoir sessions for women, non binary, queer folk and couples but a straight guy? This was my first.

When this client came to me via referral from a good friend, I was a bit nervous. I was nervous that I wouldn’t resonate with his experience or understand how he would want to be perceived.

After A LOT of conversation, openness, and vulnerability, we created this art together. It was mind bending for me in certain ways. I learned SO MUCH from this session and have to remind myself that boudoir is for EVERYONE.

He incorporated some raw rope which ended up being one of our favorite props for this session. We then ended with our signature “wet set” (wet boudoir).
